Training Mode
Practice POS operations without affecting fiscal records, KEP entries, or Z-Reports.
Practice POS operations without affecting fiscal records, KEP entries, or Z-Reports.
Overview
Training Mode lets new cashiers practice using the POS system in a safe environment. All receipts issued during training mode are marked as type 3 (Obuka) and are completely excluded from:
- Fiscal records sent to the tax authority
- KEP (Electronic Book of Revenue) entries
- Z-Report totals and daily summaries
- Stock level adjustments
Enabling Training Mode
- Open the POS app
- Navigate to Settings > Fiscal
- Scroll down to the Training Mode (Obuka) toggle
- Enable the toggle
- A warning banner confirms that training mode is active
When training mode is enabled, a prominent OBUKA / TRAINING MODE banner appears at the top of the POS terminal screen so all users are aware.
What Happens in Training Mode
| Action | Normal Mode | Training Mode |
|---|---|---|
| Receipt type | Normal (0) | Training (3) |
| Fiscal record | Sent to tax authority | Not sent |
| KEP entry | Created | Not created |
| Z-Report | Included in totals | Excluded |
| Stock deduction | Yes | Yes (for practice) |
| Sync to portal | Yes | Yes (marked as training) |
Using Training Mode
Once training mode is active:
- Process sales as you normally would — scan products, add items, apply discounts
- Complete payments using any payment method
- Receipts are printed with a "TRAINING" label
- Practice refunds, split payments, and other operations
- Review receipts in the transaction history (filtered by training type)
Disabling Training Mode
- Navigate to Settings > Fiscal
- Turn off the Training Mode toggle
- The banner disappears from the POS terminal
- All subsequent receipts are processed normally
Tips
- Always disable training mode after practice — leaving it on means real sales are not fiscally recorded
- Use a separate shift — open a dedicated "training shift" so training transactions do not mix with real ones in shift reports
- Check the banner — if you see the yellow OBUKA banner, training mode is still active
- Stock is still affected — even in training mode, stock quantities change; consider restocking after a training session
