Dashboard Overview

Understand the main dashboard, widgets, and key metrics at a glance.

Understand the Stogly dashboard layout, key metrics, and quick actions available at a glance after login.

Overview

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It provides a real-time summary of your business performance — revenue, order volume, low-stock alerts, and recent activity — so you can spot trends and take action without navigating deeper into the portal.

Dashboard Layout

The dashboard is divided into four areas:

AreaLocationPurpose
Top barTop of screenOrganization name, notification bell, language toggle, user menu
SidebarLeft sideNavigation to all portal modules (Catalog, Procurement, Analytics, Settings, etc.)

Key Metric Cards

The top row of the dashboard displays summary cards:

  • Revenue — total sales value for the selected date range
  • Orders — number of completed transactions
  • Average Order Value — revenue divided by order count
  • Low Stock Items — count of products below their reorder point

Each card shows the current value and a percentage change compared to the previous period.

Detail Widgets

Below the metric cards you will find:

  • Revenue chart — daily or weekly revenue trend line
  • Top-selling products — ranked list of products by units sold or revenue
  • Recent transactions — latest POS sales with timestamps, amounts, and payment methods
  • Low stock alerts — products approaching or below their minimum stock level with current quantity and reorder point
  • Category performance — breakdown of sales by product category

Notification Bell

The bell icon in the top bar shows unread alerts. Notifications include:

  • Low stock warnings — a product has fallen below its reorder point
  • Price change alerts — a supplier price list has changed significantly
  • Invoice matches — a supplier invoice has been auto-matched to a purchase order
  • Transfer updates — a stock transfer has changed status (e.g., shipped, completed)

Click the bell to view all notifications. Each notification links directly to the relevant record.

Quick Actions

From the dashboard you can quickly:

  1. Create a new product — click the + button or navigate to Catalog > Products > Add Product
  2. Create a purchase order — go to Procurement > Purchase Orders > New PO
  3. Run a report — go to Analytics and select a report type
  4. Switch date range — use the date picker at the top of the dashboard to change the reporting period (today, this week, this month, custom range)

Date Range Filters

All dashboard metrics respond to the selected date range. Available presets:

Tips & Best Practices

  • Check the dashboard daily — a quick glance at revenue and low-stock alerts helps you stay on top of operations
  • Act on low stock early — click a low-stock item to jump directly to its product page where you can create a purchase order
  • Use the notification bell — enable browser notifications in your account settings so you never miss a critical alert
  • Bookmark the dashboard — it is the default landing page, but you can also navigate back to it via the Stogly logo in the sidebar
